A parent first. Your sidekick along the way.

Hi, I’m Darlene Edwards.

I didn’t set out to become a parent advocate. I started learning and taking courses because my own children needed me to. Over the years, I’ve navigated IEPs, 504 plans, health plans, evaluations, accommodations, and plenty of school meetings.

I know what it’s like to leave with unanswered questions or think of exactly what you wanted to say on the drive home. That experience led me to help other families understand the process, prepare for meetings, and feel more comfortable speaking up.

I’m direct, I ask questions, and I care about getting children the support they need. I also believe families and school teams can work together while having honest conversations about what’s working and what needs to change.

You don’t have to know every acronym or have all the answers. I’m here to help you make sense of it and, if you'd like, take a seat at the table beside you.
